AMY WINSTON
"I've loved dolls as long as I can remember. One of my earliest
memories is of a Raggedy Ann my mother made for me."
"I made my first doll for my own children."
"I learned pattern making from Charlie Patricolo. Those skills
combined with my experience in making dolls for my own children
led to the creations you see now. I enjoy the process of bringing
these shapes to life through the application of paint to fabric. "
Amy has been an art educator for twelve years. She currently
teaches art at Brevard Academy. She earned her BFA in art education
from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Amy and her family live in Lake Toxaway.
