I work in mixed media because it allows my painting a greater range of expression. Among the many media that may be used in one painting are: watercolor, inks, acrylic, gouache, pastel, colored pencil, crayon, and pen & ink. I usually start with a subject matter and color scheme in mind, but once my painting hits adolescence, much of that is likely to change. The question I most often ask myself when painting is 'I wonder what would happen if...' The one thing that remains consistent is the pleasure I derive from painting. It is my sincere hope that my viewers will also derive pleasure from my paintings."
