"The day I called my mother to tell her that I wanted to pursue a career as an artist, she said, &Do whatever is going to make you happy…" and I have tried to do it ever since."

"It was my second year in college and my first required art course that got me started. My first love was clay, but then I found wood. And with time, I found paper, plastic, glass, metal and other things made from who knows what. I think the idea of using ‘anything’ to create ‘something’ really synchronized with my already present pack rat tendencies. I started college as an environmental studies major, and that same passion transferred into my career in the arts."
